GET INVOLVED

If you just want to do match team then practice starts Friday 2nd October in the Table Tennis Room between 6-8pm. We will be taking people in for the first few sessions so if you cannot make this one, never fear just come to the next one. You will start learning the dance choreographed by the match co-coordinator Robyn and also basic cheer motions and techniques ready for you first game which is great fun!

About Us

Leeds Celtics match team have been busy in the past year not only supporting the Celtics American Football team, attending all games to cheer, dance and lead the crowd but also supporting the university basketball team at the 1st and 2nd team home games. Over the year the team has raised money for charity, made appearances at sports events and performed at the student Union amongst other union clubs and societies.

BUAFL MVP Game

In April a selection of the team attended the last ever BUAFL MVP North vs. South game in Birmingham, joining other teams from around the country to support the best players from the north and south conferences including a lot of the Leeds Celtics players.

Our Work

Over the year the team have made appearances for the kickboxing society at their annual competition, performing the match routine in the ring at half time and also on stage at the annual LUU dance show. As well as making appearances at a selection of university events and an appearance in Yates bar, the team raised money for cancer research this June by running 5km in the Race for Life in Bradford and took part in a flash mob in Leeds city centre to help raise money for comic relief
